Pictage.com – Under New Management.

Founded in 2000 Pictage.com has seen their fair share of drama over its nearly 10 year life. Pictage has risen to become arguably the leading lab in the wedding and portrait photography industry. And now serving more than 8,000 professional photographers nationwide, Pictage aims to be a one-stop-shop for both new photographers looking to throw their hats into the small business arena, and more established businesses. Essentially they’re targeting photographers that want to offload online viewing, selling, printing, and email marketing to the Pictage staff.
But the industry is heating up. As the Internet matures, and other established labs move into the lucrative area of serving wedding and portrait shooters, Pictage is finding it necessary to continually listen and respond to its customers… lest its customers move to another provider.
And now Pictage has a fresh new management team in place — Jim Collins, CEO… and Simon Anderson, CMO. They’re charged with leading the company through its next phase.
In this interview, they both candidly discuss their plans for the company, the challenges ahead, and what keeps them up at night — it’s not what (or who) you might think.

I’m the good looking one. He’s the smart one. Thanks Frederick for doing this. It was fun and somehow you pulled off the miracle of not making me sound like the dumbest guy on the planet.

Another great episode Frederick! Even though I have the benefit of working with Jim and Simon at Pictage, I still garnered a ton of useful information and insights from your interview…good stuff.
