Liana Lehua – Back in Action

After dropping out of sight for several months, Liana Lehua, photographer, blogger, writer and host of GirlsGoneGeek has reemerged.

As it turns out, she’s been dealing with HIV/AIDS, and over the past year or so has been working to get things under control in order to continue doing cool things.

Now she’s back, in full force. And though she’s still recovering and working to get her T-cell count back into a safe range she’s been extremly active, and has even started a new blog for Californians afflicted with HIV/AIDS helping with instruction on how to obtain free and low cost county and medical healthcare services.

For more on Liana, check out this interview I did with her about a year ago, check out her new blog, and of course… follow her on Twitter.

Keep kicking butt Liana!

The above video was shot entirely with an iPhone 3GS

I thought I was having a bad day. I was feeling really down about myself and the world. Then, I saw Liana and how well she’s doing in her circumstance. Now, I feel like a schmuck.

    I’m also inspired and heartened.

Frederick, amazing video with the 3GS. I have a whole new appreciation for the camera in the phone. I also noticed that you were outdoors which can degrade the sound quality a bit, but despite being outdoors the sound was pretty good.

Just imagine what it would have been like if you were indoors!

I also want to wish Liana Lehua the very very best and thank her for sharing a very personal matter with us.

    All the best

    Gregory
