Been There, Streamed That.
Sometimes it really sucks being “ahead of your time”. The Yahoo! FinanceVision project was just that –it was a revolutionary streaming video financial news network… Yahoo! kicked off the project in 2001 and killed it a few years later. But in that window of time, we had some serious fun. I was part of an amazing team of people at Yahoo! that could have moved mountains, and in many cases did just that. Check out these videos for a taste of some of the good times (and bad) during our pioneering run as FinanceVisionaries… the original NetCasters!

Came across this as I to was looking at the history of Finance vision. A fantastic show and family of people.
Bertha, Caleb, John and the team got it right and as said it was to early in the web content curve for everyone to see it’s potential. Everyday when trading i would log on and load FV getting the chance to share views, ideas and comment on the show and the everchanging market was great.
I think it is time you guys met up for a reunion and perhaps get the brain juice flowing again. Looking at broadcast media on the internet today, it is lacking a great deal and pioneers such as FV could change it all for the better again.
The video of the bloopers, Fashions and Caleb at the oscars were my favourites(“Hey A-list person! – do you Yahooo??”).

Couple more things do you have any other archived footage?
Was it hard to get hold of?
Was hoping some of the questions I sent in for charles would be saved somewhere. All of the show contained small pieces of history that should not be forgotten.

Holy cow, what do you know. I found your website through your iPhone post. Long time no speak, this FinanceVision video brings back memories. I’m out on the West coast now too, in San Francisco doing the commute down to Mountain View. Hope all is good with you!
